"The lodge is wonderful. I believe it was the owner was helpful and accommodating for a price. The lodge is in the middle of no where, nothing close by. You will need a car. Cafe on premises only open from 7 to 11. The server can’t make change and will ask if you want your change. Really didn’t care for that! Cab service is pretty much non existent. To my knowledge there 2 companies to which I was given there cards for. One didn’t pick up and hasn’t activated their voice mails and the dosnt listen to his voice mail. We had to walk 50 min from town to the lodge. A car is a must. Tv in room but you have to join apps to get service. Over all great place to stay if you have a car! The rooms are clean and well taken care of"

"The staff were amazingly helpful. The ease of use between getting back-and-forth from town and to the lodge from the train depot and getting to the cruise port made our trip seamless. The shuttle service they offer is invaluable. Took luggage for us directly to our room and picked it up when we had to leave. Luggage all moved by Windsong. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"Room was very clean and comfortable bed. Had a basic double bed room (Probably queens?) Almost had to go sideways between bed and wall to get to bathroom. Room was not designed for that sise beds. Parking onsite was plentiful during the time we we were there,"

"It gives the feeling of a cross between a youth hostel and a B&B. The rooms have a loft, but it is of limited use. The height inside the loft is very low, requiring you to move around on your knees, or scooch around seated on the floor. When you are seated on the floor within the loft, your head is only a couple inches below the ceiling. I sat up on the mattress in the middle of the night and banged my head on the ceiling. The ladder to the loft is substantial and the rungs are so far apart it would not be suitable for younger children or shorter adults. It also makes getting up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night difficult. The breakfast is cooked to order and very good. The bathroom was modern and very clean. The common areas are like a youth hostel, not of very good quality."

"The staff was great. The property smaller and is dated however, the problem is the plumbing is in-need of service. Our bathtub/shower was extremely slow to drain (yuck). You can tell drainage issues have plagued the units as wall access panels were of different colors (we rented 2 rooms). When that issue is corrected, the property will do for a night or two prior to leaving out on either a charter or cruise ship."
