"Very clean and safe hotel with very friendly staff. It is private yet walkable to shops and restaurants."

"Highly recommend The Retreat hotel! It was gorgeous and the views breath taking. The staff was very attentive and kind. Will definitely go again. The tours were over priced though. ~400 per tour and while the locations were beautiful it was not worth that much money. Also note there is no food you can buy except for in the restaurants there. So grab some snack at the airport. But highly recommend this place. Even in the rainy season it was amazing "

"The location, amenities, staff and the rooms were excellent. Enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Marriott vacation club location. The pool is more secluded and quiet then the main hotel. Very enjoyable stay."

"The staff were attentive and very helpful, and having a private pool was definitely a plus. Parking, however, could have been a better experience. Our balcony was shared with three other rooms, which was fine, but I would have preferred it to be more secluded. The property also shares the beach, and unfortunately it felt a bit dirty and messy at times."

"We stayed at this hotel in Jacó and had a wonderful experience. Pablo is amazing—an excellent communicator who truly makes you feel like the place, the city, and even the air around you are yours. He gave us great restaurant recommendations, and every place we tried was excellent. Pablo was genuinely one of the best people we met on our trip. "Everything was perfect from check in until check out. Arrived at the guard gate and Nelson was very professional in checking my credentials in order to get into the property. Christian in the front office was also very professional in checking our passports and reservation confirmation. The grounds were immaculate with lots of foliage to and from the condo. Our condo 19 was spotless and had everything you needed for a week stay...even had a couple of waters in the fridge for us upon...

"The ocean was a 5 minute at most walk from the hotel. Hotel is in the best location for beach and restaurants and shops. Great breakfast traditional or fruit and pancakes. Staff super friendly. Would return in a heartbeat."
