"Really nice to have the beachfront access and a good pool, but the hotel itself is only ok. Spacious but dated rooms showing a lot of wear and tear, in need of new furniture and bathroom remodel. Breakfast buffet was very good, dinner less so. The dining room is crowded and understaffed. Very limited other dining options within easy walking distance."

"My daughter and I had single occupancy rooms each throughout our 6 days. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was varied and fresh and staff were courteous. Reception staff were helpful and friendly and dealt efficiently with our arrival and departure was pleasant. In terms of location, the hotel was in a quiet residential area and you could quite easily walk into the centre or take buses which were incredibly frequent. Local amenities around the hotel were good also for food and drink."

"This was our favourite place to stay during our trip to Europe. This property is amazing and the views are incredible. The staff understand old-fashioned hospitality without being stuffy. They are friendly, helpful, and have wonderful senses of humour. And they were incredibly tolerant of my clumsy Spanish. This is an old school luxury hotel — I don’t imagine a lot has changed since it first opened. It is a bit of a time capsule in the best possible way. Some reviews speak to it needing to be refreshed or renovated. No, absolutely not. Everything is well-maintained and functional and clean. Its older aesthetic is what gives it its charm. Who wants sterile, bland, generic, Insta-influencer “style” when you can have this charming and authentic piece of history that is exploding with character? We fully relaxed here. After opening the big, beautiful, wooden door to our room, we were greeted with a personal note from management and beautiful orange cake. Our room was impeccably clean, exquisitely quiet, and comfortable. It had a private balcony with sun chairs and a retractable sun shade. The restaurant had incredible food and we had an amazing view from our table. Breakfast was delicious. Dinners were divine. The hotel is a good walk to Malaga’s Old Town. Wear sensible shoes and SPF and do some cardio or take a bus, car, bike, taxi, or tuk tuk. There’s a fabulous little pool at the hotel and it’s super refreshing after a day of walking. We loved it & would stay again."

"First time staying in a hotel in Torre del Mar although we have been visiting the area for 34 yrs. Very clean hotel, functioning 2 lifts, never a long wait. Staff extremely helpful, an ideal no fuss stay. Great location in this lovely small bustling seaside town especially if you don’t want to walk far to the excellent restaurants, tapas bars, cafes. The impressive promenade and beach are just 2 minutes walk away and the surrounding pedestrianised areas have a variety of small independent shops. We stayed for San Juan fiesta in a room overlooking the front entrance. Noise wasn’t a problem for us even if you do count the seagulls! Expect to park free a fair distance away from the hotel in Summer as the population grows or pay for hotel parking, I think €20 per day? Nearby blue zone parking payment was confusing but it could have been lost in translation. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay and would visit again."

"Lovely hotel with nice rooms and beautiful pool area. Continental breakfast was varied and tasty! Staff was super helpful, even allowing us to keep our bags there after check out so we could go and do some last minute sight seeing! "

"A great venue only about 8 minutes walk from the centre of Nerja. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. A quirky hotel well positioned with great parking which you must pre book to ensure a space as they are limited."
