"It was a beautiful place. Very clean and very historic. Owners were super friendly. Breakfast was so good! The staff was very nice and accommodating, and the location was awesome. The only thing that you need to know is that there are many steps up and there is no elevator. Their staff is more than willing to help, but if you can’t climb steps, that’s something to think about."

"This is a challenging review to write because the staff were very friendly and the property is beautiful, however we waited over 2 hours past when our room should have been ready, had scalding hot water only on the first night and then only luke warm throughout our stay and woke up to no electricity on our last day. It is a very expensive resort ( called 5 star) so these things should not happen. Plus we've heard nothing from them after reporting this."

There were stains on the ceiling and it could have been a little bit cleaner (there were pee pee drops on the front of the toilet and the floor needed a good vacuuming). We had to check into the B&B from the next door hotel which seemed a little shady inside. The B&B write up claimed the it was located on the beach. It is not. You have to either walk thru an alley way or cut through the neighboring property to access the beach. The reason I rated the B&B...

"Clean room, good coffee but we didn’t like having to stand in line for it. Breakfast was good. Nice lemon water in the lobby. Convenient to river st and restaurants and shops. Got to store the luggage early arrival. Used the garage next door since we were not going to use the car while there. Rooftop pool was nice however my friend got a rash from the chlorine. I was fine. Seemed clean, we didn’t have any staff encounters other than check-in which was fine."

"Forsyth Park Inn was excellent from start to finish. The private porch was the standout feature. We spent our evenings sitting out there overlooking Forsyth Park, and we even shared a few bottles of wine out there. It's a rare thing to get that kind of view and quiet right in the middle of the historic district. The property itself has real character. "I made the mistake of booking a room thinking that all the rooms had balconies overlooking the beach, like the main pictures. It turned out that the Double bed room we'd booked was just a small, motel-like room with two beds and one chair and the only window was to the walkway by the door. It was our own fault, and I knew it was non-refundable when I booked it. And neither we nor Expedia could get them to budge with even a partial refund when we left early.
