A good hotel

We stayed for 5 days as part of a longer trip. It's 3 star so didn't expect to much. The staff were a bit hit and miss. Some were brilliant others not helpful at all. The room was OK apart from the balcony. Which was more like a prison exercise yard. As it had 4 walls and no balcony. More like an enclosed terrace. Shame because being on the 9th floor the views would of been brilliant. The hotel mainly caters for Spanish. So being British we were low priority. That said the facilities were good with indoor and outdoor pools. And sauna and jacuzzi. Also the location was great right by Calpe beach. With loads of bars restaurants around. Also the hotel has a car park for €11 a day which if driving or hiring a car is handy. Overall it is a good hotel just for us personally the balcony and some staff. Made the stay less enjoyable. Oh and also the catering in the restaurant for breakfast was great. Even had proper UK sausages and hp sauce 😂👍

Always good always nice.

This was the third time we have stayed at the Esmeralda and for good reasons. Our room was spotlessly clean and done every day. The staff on reception were always courteous and helpful, particularly Alicia who helped us to do our Passenger Locator Forms and printed them. Breakfast and Dinner in the dining room had a very large choice of food and friendly staff too. We look forward to our next visit.

Buenas vacaciones a pie de playa

La experiencia en general ha sido buena. Muy buena ubicación. Las instalaciones del hotel exteriores piscina y cafetería, muy bien, era muy agradable moverse por ahí. La habitación muy limpia tanto a la llegada como los días que se solicito limpiarla, mobiliario antiguo pero es estética y, bueno, nosotros tuvimos la mala suerte de tener habitación que no daba a la playa. El colchón y la almohada muy cómodos. Algunos detalles a mejorar sería la información sobre cómo disfrutar de las actividades que marcaban en la pantalla que había en la recepción y, las colas en los horarios de comidas.

Los días que hemos pasado han esatdo muy bien. Ambiente agradable, personal cualificado y atento. Se nota que ya está un poco antigüo pero eso se suple con la limpieza y por su personal. Ninguna pega a la hora de cambiar la cena por el almuerzo.
