"I booked this as a backup for the festival opening week and ended up being very pleasantly surprised. Sweet and warm welcome, extremely helpful staff. Nice atmosphere amongst travellers as well. I guess the bad reviews are either from an earlier period or people don't understand it's a hostel. I was very glad to see a fan spinning in the room at night as it was very hot. "Very good hotel for its star rating. Clean, good decor and facilities. Good shower and effective air-conditioning. Conveniently placed between the railway station and the amphitheatre. Our room had a view of the Rhone. No lift so don't stay here if limited mobility but not a problem for us. Good value."
