"We noticed on arrival how the lobby was inviting. Water available, current magazines highlighting the Camarillo area. A one-page local event sheet. Cheerful note on a chalkboard. Fresh arranged flowers at the front desk. The attention to details. Little things totally missing from other hotels. Great location right in the center of Old Town. Walked to the Farmers market on Saturday. Our room was fine for a couple. Liked the bedspread and our clean room!"

"The grounds of this hotel are so beautiful and the location was perfect for us to attend a wedding in Simi Valley. The room was clean and the breakfast was outstanding. The only minor complaint I have is the sliding door on the bathroom. It didn't give much privacy and also hard to use the bathroom at night without lighting up the whole room. I would prefer a standard door. Other than that, it was very nice, very clean and excellent location. "

Leo at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay, was welcoming when we checked in and accommodating with any questions we had. " I stayed at Motel 6 in two different times so I need to give two different reviews: The first night, the room I was offered- maybe because the hotel itself is so old or that room hasn't been occupied for a long while- but the bedsheets (they seemed clean) had the faint cigarette smoke smell. And the smell rubbed off on the clothes I slept on that I had to wash them the next day! Otherwise, everything else was fine. "The owner(?) host (?) was bery friendly. The room was not so great. Bedding could use upgrading. The bathroom sink looked like it was patched up from a leak? Showerhead was old and could've used replacement as well. And the fan over toilet wasn't functional and falling out if ceiling. I only stay 1 night (a few hours to sleep basically) so for the price it worked. The rest of the place had some charm. I think if a few things were updated I'd consider staying again."
