"It was full of character and a lovely place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful. Beware of one of the roads into the area, it can be very narrow. Always plan using the other two entrances/exits. Nice welcome gift too."

"The photos don't do this place justice. It has absolutely everything you need, and more! It most definitely has a luxurious feel to it. I loved the bathroom. The cottage os much bigger than it looks in the photos, so much room! "

"I had some issues with the cleanliness of the room. I raised them with staff on the front desk and they were fantastic. Fully engaging, very helpful - however the actual people responsible for the room cleaning were not and did not address anything. After nothing changed, the front desk staff moved me to a different room, and I had a good chat with and apology from the hotel manager.
Overall, despite the issues with cleanliness, the hotel is well-run and it was a nice friendly place to stay....

"I like the character and location of the property and the staff are doing the best that they can. The property is dated and in need of investment. The bedroom could have been a bit cleaner (hoovering the carpet which did not seem to happen during my stay) and the bedding did not fit the mattress. The staff were kind and helpful though some better manners from certain bar staff would have gone a long way. The food was great."
