"Worst experience with hotel staff in my life. I paid through hotels.com, but as I was leaving the property, I was told that I was a "no show" even though they gave me a room key card the night before. I checked my credit card account and the hotel charged my credit card twice some reason even though I had already paid hotels.com for the room for one night. The clerk spent a few minutes trying to figure out and said she would reimburse me but never did. A couple of days later, I called the hotel and they tried to blame hotels.com. I told them how can this be hotels.com's fault when you charged me extra. The manager and general manager blamed hotels.com, but the real issue was their mistake. They started blaming "virtual cards" and other technical differences telling me to call hotels.com, but I refused and asked them to fix their mistake. I'm still waiting for the hotel to reimburse me for the extra charge and remove the other pending charge on my credit card. Bottom line: carefully watch hotel staff because they are untrained and may charge extra and not correct their mistakes."
