"The Villas of Amelia Island is part of the Omni Resort, which is great because you can use the Omni amenities (pool, fitness, beach, etc.). "This unit needs updating. It has old dingy carpet upstairs, old cheap dinnerware, cookware, glassware, etc. Everything is cheap, old and outdated (except the downstairs patio table/chairs, that looks new) Musty smell was horrible -- I went out and bought candles to help mask the smell. Also, this is the first beach house we've ever rented that didn't have any beach gear—no chairs, umbrella, towels. Nothing- so come prepared. "House was not clean properly, pillows and covers smelled mushy and not been washed for a long time. We all got sick, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea on the second day. We did not eat anything out, our food was cooked by us in the house. My 3 y/o son got Asthma exacerbation. Other than the ocean view, it was a terrible Christmas for us. "
