"Great place to stay "

"The hotel is located right across the street from the train terminal. Once checked in, we settled into a spacious room. Breakfast was included in the rate and it was a very, nice and fresh assortment. The hotel is within walking distance of the ferry, which will take you to a number of islands in the coast. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with directions if needed. I would book it again."

"I bought my trip package through Expedia. It was the package that included the Stay + Flight. Everything went smoothly. No problems were encountered through this third party booking company. Hotel Olimpico was a great place to stay for our 14 day trip in Salerno. The hotel is about a 20-25 minute bus ride to the Salerno train station/ city center (shops and restaurants). The hotel does provide free shuttle transportation between April -October to the main center / train station. I was there at the end of March and had to take the bus for about a week until they launched their shuttle service. The Guilano bus charged us in March 1.40 euros per person. And the hotel does provide a timetable if you do need to take the bus in case you can’t make their shuttle. The room we booked was a standard room and it was such a beautiful place. The hotel itself was immaculately clean. Our room had room service everyday and it was great to come back to a nice clean room after a long day of adventures. Breakfast was included and they have a great variety. It was delicious and we enjoyed every bite ! The staff is very attentive and friendly. They are very helpful and they helped out with taxi services, and also helped us with train scheduling. So if you do need any advice they are there to help you ! Don’t hesitate to ask for help. The ladies in the reception area are AMAZING! They’re very knowledgeable. And they make this hotel what it is with their warm smiles and hospitality. "

"BEWARE!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We had a very bad experience as we we NOT aware this property was far away from Salerno, it is under construction, they are renovating the hotel and they will accommodate you in the old smelly rooms which were horrible. We were given a very hard time, we arrived late, we were hungry, they were not considerate at all. After making us view several rooms that were totally unacceptable, after discussing for like an hour we had to pay extra to stay in a renovated room. The location is not great at all, the hotel is located right next to a port, not desirable. The breakfast was just ok, you had to pay extra for eggs, very disappointing"

The front desk staff was very helpful and provided suggestions about where to park to walk to the Duomo of St Matthew. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room and patio also have a beautiful view and friendly and attentive staff It was a nice stay! "
