Owner Mike was very personable, upgraded our room which we appreciated, will need to walk stairs, Charm of an vintage renovated home, liked all the antiques
Michel is a very accommodating host with unfettered enthusiasm to make your stay the most comfortable. You'll immediately feel welcome by his Acadien French hospitality and you'll enjoy every minute when he shares his wealth of knowledge about the area.
The house is a virtual museum, a renovated mansion with the feel of a 1900 English estate.
To stay at McKenzie Mansion alone makes your New Brunswick stay worthwhile.
Absolutely loved my stay. The room was amazing and comfy, very spacious and charming. The whole building and atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The owner is very friendly and hospitable. Made my first visit to New Brunswick very memorable. I will 100% be staying here again in the future
The McKenzie House is well situated minutes from downtown.....no need to drive
It is an older home but very comfortable.
The owner Michel was very accommodating with information about restaurants and history of Campbellton. His mother Antoinette greeted us upon our arrival and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with her.
Breakfast was simple but sufficient to start our day. We would stay here again.
Sleeping in this well-maintained historical house is like a dream, cozy with a wide comfortable bed, hallways covered with pictures of the past. The host are amazing and very happy to share their stories with those who are interested, the best part was waking up and have breakfast (very generous I'd say) in the wide dining room and have conversations with the hosts and other guests from around the world.
Wonderful people. The morning pancakes and syrup were fantastic! Clean and authentic. Outdoor maintenance was lacking but indoor was immaculate. Michael’s 95 yr old mother is the jewel of my stay.
Nice location, easy access to restaurants and shopping, along the river walking.
Room with bathroom, a little small, breakfast very limited, nice owner.
It is a charming old house converted into a family hotel. Amazing original retro furniture, awesome breakfast prepared by the excellent host Mike every morning. Would definitely come back and recommend to others. The province of Quebec is just 5 min drive across the bridge for cheap bears and great food. Central location close to restaurants and downtown.
It was a unique property with very quaint old rooms. We got there before the 4 pm check in time, we felt that 4 pm was a bit too long to wait to check in and get settled.
Classical older home, well kept, lots of charming squeaks in the floors as you made your way about the home.... great location, near local amenities... 😃
Very surprised at checki-in when hostess said they strongly preferred to be paid in cash. There is nothing in their listing about wanting cash. Luckily I had enough but it wiped out my cash reserve for the trip. Breakfast was so-so. I had expected a full breakfast given the room cost since I had already accepted a smaller room & a shared bath.
