"What a gem of a find, we stayed for one night whilst travelling from England to Spain. We was warmly greeted on arrival and went straight into the pool after a very long day. The host then prepared a fantastic 3 course home cooked meal with wine. Room was spacious, clean and bed comfy, with a wonderful views over the vineyards. In the morning a lovely prepared breakfast outside and the friendly hosts couldn’t be more accommodating. We will 100% be returning each year as we travel to Spain, thank...

"Our room was perfect. It was perfectly clean, spacious, beautifully furnished with a view of the canal. The breakfasts were deliciously prepared with care. They kept the downstairs stocked with free cold water and various sodas and good wines at a very low cost. It was an absolute joy to experience this hotel that Katy and Olivier obviously put in so much of themselves to remodel from an old home and that they run with such care and detail. "The accommodation was a fully furnished flat in a new block. It was well-equipped and very comfortable. The flats were not serviced but this was not a problem as we only stayed for 3 nights. The building seems to be a 'Seniors' block of flats with a few flats used as holiday lets but don't let that put you off as it is very comfortable and affordable and is just a short 5 to 10 minute slightly uphill walk to the walled town."

"Our short stay in Carcassonne was extremely pleasant and comfortable at Hôtel Le Donjon. The parking arrangements are very convenient, the rooms comfortable and the staff very friendly. Our only issue was the shower didn't have a screen attached that actually stopped the water from going all over the floor. A minor detail that could be easily fixed. Apart from that I would definitely book Hôtel Le Donjon again."

"We stayed for three nights in total, and everything from start to finish was fantastic, from the pick-up and warm welcome to the beautiful fresh breakfasts, great coffees, and well-stocked fridge of drink (with an honesty box). The rear garden was so relaxing, and our room was absolutely perfect for us. We loved our getaway and will definitely be back again soon!"
