It's a good, clean room, an excellent location, affordable rates. It's nothing too fancy, but it's a great option. The front desk was exceptionally friendly at check-in. And the view from the room was of the mountains and water, it was very nice.

The Drake inn is a little bit old but its maintenance is good. The staffs are awesome, very seeet, specifically the lovely lady who works from 5pm to 10pm. Also, the included parking is what makes it stressful free. It’s close to town, where its walkable to restaurants, shops, and trails.

The inn itself was basic but clean and had a beautiful view from the room of the rockies. Washroom is a bit outdated and there was a hockey stick in our sliding door to secure it from opening. Good location within walking distance to the main shops and nice walking trail out back. However, the first night we stayed there was a very noisy group from the bar that the inn is attached to and disrupted our sleep until 2am, we had to call the RCMP to take care of the noise disturbance. The inn kindly compensated us for the night thankfully. The next night was better, but we could hear the footsteps from the people above walking around. So not the quietest place for the best sleep. Also the parking spots were incredibly tight! But it was good we were able to park there after we checked out and explored the area.

I booked a room for 2 people, 1 king bed. The room was clean, bed and beddings were clean and comfortable. Beware that the hotel is a three storey building with stairs and no AC. I stayed the first week of August and the room was a bit too warm when we arrived late in the afternoon and we had to carry our luggage up to the third floor.

Room is clean, just a little bit old, and sometimes you may find an insect. No air-conditioner but a fan is provided, not too hot in night time. Location is really perfect, located at downtown and our room view is Three Sisters Mountain, that’s the reason I chose this accommodation. Staff is nice.

The Drake Inn is strategically located and works well if you are mainly looking for a place to sleep while exploring Canmore and the surrounding area. The property itself is fairly basic, and the bathroom is quite outdated. Unfortunately, we also experienced some water leakage from the bathroom into the room, which was disappointing. That said, our host, Sylvia, was absolutely wonderful to deal with. She went above and beyond to make our few nights as comfortable as possible, promptly arranging ice, extra towels, bed sheets, and anything else we needed. Her helpful and pleasant attitude definitely made a difference to our stay. Overall, it is a very basic property with a great location, but Sylvia’s excellent hospitality was certainly the highlight of our experience.
