Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville SE Murfreesboro
8/10 Good
"Room was clean but very outdated and dark. Hotel needs a serious renovation. Another in our group booked a handicap accessible room and it was not provided upon arrival - the 85 year old had to move rooms - on her own - with family to help - the next day after arrival. Hotel couldn’t be bothered to assist despite their mistake. Why didn’t they tell that guest when she checked in that the accessible room wasn’t ready but would be in ‘x’ time? She could have simply hung out in one of the other two rooms with family.
They charge $16 a day for parking - said can’t waive it something about it being a convention center - really lame excuse. This hotel has a HUGE parking lot which was darn near EMPTY. Didn’t see a convention or any events going on while we were there (during the work week). The charge for parking is disclosed on booking - we each asked about waiving it as a comp since we were with a group that had three rooms booked for three nights. Nope - two separate employees declined that courtesy. A parking fee in this particular location is just nickel-and-diming - waive it or just include ‘free parking’ in the rate. Family stayed there a year ago and it was waived. This hotel is NOT in Nashville and has a huge lot - not like hotels in downtown Nashville with garages and limited parking and valets. Did I mention the huge parking lot - that was empty the whole time?
Breakfast was good and the nightly drinks/snacks were fine - but won’t use this particular ES again."
"People in pool right by room after hours, 2am had to call front desk,
Carpet badly stained in all of hall ways. lights out in food area no electric one morning and no more batter for waffle. Language problem. Hotel needs paint"
"The property, room, etc, was clean but but I advise travelers to avoid this hotel. About a year and a half ago I stayed here and they charged my card a $100 damage deposit at check in that they said would be refunded when the cleaning crew verified there was no damage after I left. It took 3 weeks and multiple calls to get my deposit returned. Each time the staff just said "be patient, it takes 3-5 days for it to show on your card". 3-5 days is a far cry from 3 weeks. Well this time I had forgotten about that experience and stayed here again and again they charged my card $100 damage deposit that has yet to be returned. I called a few days ago and just like my previous stay I was told that it had already been refunded but would take 3-5 days to show up on my card. It's been 9 days since my stay with nothing. I don't know if they are just hoping people won't notice the extra charge, if they are just incompetent, or what but this is ridiculous."
