"Beware as management is not transparent. We booked a 10-day stay at the St. Regis Cap Cana specifically for its calm, private beach where our children could swim and play. About a week before arrival, the hotel emailed that “certain areas” might experience increased sargassum. The reality was very different: the entire beach was effectively closed, swimming was impossible, the water was discolored, and large tractors were removing sargassum beside the pool.
I don't fault the hotel for sargassum...

"My husband and I stayed here for his 40th birthday. The hotel is an absolutely stunning boutique that reminds me of a Marrakesh retreat with the decor. The staff were extremely attentive, helpful and friendly. Being located within the Cap Cana resort gave security and allowed us to explore the neighbouring pools and restaurants.
Our room was a little disappointing considering the 5* ratings - very shabby chic and could use an upgrade and more attention to fixtures. The carpet and mirror was...

"Exceeded my expectations!! Travelled with 3 kids 8,10, 15! We all loved our stay! I’m picky but don’t have any complaints.. with the barrier the beach is still murky every though they have a barrier during this time but overall Amazing!!"
