Excellent stay in Sea Point area

Very nice and confortable room. Historic feel for this victorian house, with wooden floor and all these old style furniture and decoration. Nice view from the roof on Lion's head. Very friendly staff.

I had a lovely stay at Ashby manor. My room had a balcony overlooking the sea. The staff were very warm and welcoming and I felt safe as a lone female traveller. its a great location for the beaches...a quiet peaceful area. I would highly recommend Ashby manor. Wonderful views and Liesel is a super host.

The Manor, staff the cleanliness is very high rating. The room was a bit dark, but this is insignificant with the access to the garden, lovely helpful staff and environment of the whole place. I give 4.75 rating. Thank you Leisl and Ruth Doreen

The staff is GREAT!!!! The furnishing is so interesting and we like when people like to keep and refurbish older furniture. Looking around inside was like a museum, not too packen but discovering always something new. We felt save and secure. We enjoyed our stay and again the staff is super friendly, helpfull and caring. Disappointed by this guesthouse. Localization is pretty good by house old, noisy and service was not really. I asked for restaurant advices around, answer was go to the main street, there is plenty. Back to the reception 10 minutes after i arrived, no one, closed and I haven't seen anyone anymore (it was 6 PM). Matress no confortable and room really tiny

I booked Ashby Manor House in early March for a short trip to attend a wedding with my partner. Liesl reached out when I made our reservation, offering a ride from the airport and suggestions for tourist excursions. We arranged a car through her to and from the airport, and I strongly recommend it. Our stay in Cape Town was brief, but whenever I needed anything, help came immediately. The room was also very clean and comfortable. The location is safe and close to dining options, some of which are right on the beach. Getting downtown is easy through Uber or a driver, with arrangements with Liesl. The staff was kind and went out of their way to accommodate us. For instance, we arrived early, and they rushed to prepare our room. As we departed, we were allowed to store our items safely after checking out that morning and shower before heading to the airport. We had a 20 hour journey, so I can overstate how grateful we were for the opportunity to shower and rest upon arrival and before our departure. If I return to Cape Town, I will book Ashby again.

LOVELY ONE NIGHT STAY

We only stayed for one night but it was a very pleasant stay and our host was so adorable and made sure we comfortable for the night. The room was neat and clean and I just loved the decor of lion/cheetah/leopard.

The property was in a convenient part of town and was affordable. However, no staff person was present either for my checkin (5pm) and checkout (8am) so a long-term resident had to help me check in and I just left the key in the room for the check out. Additionally the bedding was stained and not very clean.

I could not check in after I got there and waited and called all their numbers and messaged them so had to go somewhere else. They then charged my card the following day and when I asked them to refund it, it has still not happens - very unprofessional of them to charge my card when they did not check me in. PLEASE HAVE THEM REFUND ME

La chambre est très mal isolée donc on entend toutes les chambres des voisins … la salle de bain mériterait d’être rénovée, la puissance de la douche est catastrophique. Les tasses de cafés dans la chambre étaient salles. Le lit est confortable et il y a une jolie vue.

We booked and stayed for 1 night and it was worth the price...Old and Eclectic style, a bit much in some areas. Pleasant staff, a fan provided as no air-con and a lovely view of the ocean. The shower was a bit dodgy and leaked after use...towels and bedding had some stains (all white so easy to spot)...bar-fridge was placed precariously on a stool under the TV Due to Covid, no breakfast was served but overall experience was fine.

Peaceful Accommodation

We had a very pleasant stay. Extremely relaxing seeing as both the neighborhood and Manor is very peaceful and quiet. A little disappointed that the website indicates breakfast included, unfortunately upon arrival it was made clear there is no breakfast. Other than that, excellent stay. Highly recommended.

Was a terrible experience and there was renovations taking place, stuff lying around and doors not closing and locking properly. Worst experience and we have been booking a lot of hotels on your site
