Rooms were very well presented as was the whole guesthouse. Joe and Lebo were very welcoming, was a pleasure to stay at the Mountview.

Mountview Spa - March Stay

The Mountview Spa was a great place, in the heart of SeaPoint, which is a nice break from the very heart of Cape Town but has plenty to do, and is just 10 minutes away from both Camps Bay and Cape Town. The only issue was the ongoing Water Crisis, meaning that the pool and hot-tub were out of action, but this is no fault of Mountview, and Cape Town is heading in the right direction with the drought, with the 'd-day' already being pushed back from April to July.

Desistimos da hospedagem

Infelizmente, quando chegamos à guest house não havia nenhum funcionário para nos receber e a casa parecia um tanto abandonada. A aparência da casa parece ok, mas nós achamos o quarto muito pequeno. O ambiente não é acolhedor, tampouco confortável. Não vale o preço cobrado e as fotos não correspondem bem com a realidade. Desistimos de nos hospedar na guest house após entrar no quarto. Trocamos para outra acomodação.

Comfortable hotel for couple of nights

The guest house is very clean and the decor lovely . But not having a window was not something I would never choose . Also the name of the guest house Mountview , suggested to us we might have a view but there is none . Breakfast good , location good , very nice if you don't mind having no vista .

Nothing like the pictures

Hotel was nothing like the pictures. No one was there to register me or greet me upon arrival. Cancelled immediately upon seeing location and expedia was not able to make contact with "front desk" for several days and then sent message that hotel denied my request. Very poor communication. Eventually agreed to refund my money but it didn't come easily.

A quem das expectativas.

Local poderia ter oferecido mais pois devido a falta de água na cidade a piscina e jacuzzi interditada. Mas deveriam ter avisado pois talvez tivesse optado por outro local. A localização ok. Atenciosos. Acomodações boas. Mas esperava mais.

The staff was very welcoming and the breakfast they provided was more than we expected. Very accommodating when our group needed to leave our bags there on check out day.

Zentrale lautet Lage, elegantes Ambiente, alles gut erreichbar, aber leider auch sehr unpersönlich im Vergleich mit anderen GästehäuserNutzern auf unserer Rundreise. Ich würde dort nicht noch einmal einchecken!

Lovely guesthouse in a very pretty neighborhood

Mountview is a lovely spot with all the amenities that you might want in a guesthouse - pool, hot tub, sauna, full breakfast and nice common areas. Joe, the owner, is so helpful - he got us lined up with transportation from the airport and later in our stay got us a rental car that was delivered right to the guesthouse. He also made restaurant suggestions and reservations and helped us figure out tours and places to visit. The staff is great and the full breakfast is yummy. The location of mountview is ideal. It's a very safe neighborhood, very cute and lots of restaurants close by. It's also a short walk from the Oceanside promenade where you can rent bikes and still along a pathway. We got all around the city using uber although cabs are plentiful and Joe will call them for you. I'd stay at mountview in a heartbeat. The only drawback is that the walls are thin and you can hear people coming and going in the hallways but people were very considerate so it wasn't a problem for us
