"Lovely place, clean, some maintenance happening, but didn't disturb our 5 days. Breakfast had plenty choices including Eggs Benedict or Eggs Royale, restaurant, lovely food. Staff very friendly and helpful.
20min drive from Keswick, which was handy for more restauarants, bars and the boat trip was brilliant.
Tennis Court, mini golf a bonus on-site and swimming pool was good size and good to cool down as weather was hot for our trip.
Being Scottish, it would be nice to have bar open a bit later, overall stay was excellent, definitely would visit again."
"A lovely hotel in an ideal location for visiting the Lake District. Within walking distance of several walks and Derwent Water jetty from where you can catch the ferry to points around the lake and to Keswick.
Sofia and the staff made us feel very welcome.
The breakfast was good, with plenty of selection.
The restaurant also had good food."
"This is an excellent hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I noticed how conscientious and hard-working the restaurants and bar staff were in particular. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I enjoyed a delicious roast tomato soup and local ice cream. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a long time in a hotel. I booked a small single room as I was only stay one night while doing the Hadrian‘s Wall walk. The room was very small and probably could do with a bit of decor touching up but it was clean and fine for just one night and very good value for the price."
"Very well run hotel on the edge of Carlisle. Host was helpful and friendly.
Clean room, comfortable bed. Lots of tea, coffee and biscuits!
Great breakfast. Plenty pubs and restaurants easily walkable.
Would recommend it and will definitely stay there again."
"The rooms are a little tired and scrappy but were perfectly clean & comfortable.
Staff were very attentive and friendly, great breakfast and well located."
