We booked this hotel for a staycation. We’ve done staycations at the Legoland resort, Westin, and Sheraton all within the vicinity. Positves: the room was clean and decor was modern. The room looked updated. We booked a suite that had a separate room with twin beds for our kids. This is a great set up. Negatives: My husband tried calling over and over to ask for an early check in. No one answered. We arrived and were told our room would be ready shortly. We walked over to Karl Straus and had lunch. When we got back we were told the crew was on lunch and were now going to start cleaning our room. The restrooms were out of toilet paper that we changed in for the pool. I told an employee who told me to go to the other bathroom by the quiet pool rather than getting someone to change the toilet paper. The family pool is dated and had lots of dead bugs floating in it. Last but not least, we were on the south side of the hotel and the elevator by our room went down by the brewery. The elevator didn’t require a key to get back up. This is a huge safety hazard at this hotel. This is not a local hotel we will be returning to.
