"The pool was out of service, setting the tone for a disappointing stay from the outset. Later that evening, at approximately 9:30 PM, my key card inexplicably deactivated. When I went to the front desk to have it reissued, I encountered another guest experiencing the exact same issue. The front desk attendant assisted him but then walked away without acknowledging me, despite clearly seeing that I was next in line. I was left waiting an additional 20 minutes simply to regain access to my room...

"The room was disgusting……the sheets had stains the tub/shower was dirty. The towels smelled moldy. The room was supposed to be non smoking, but it smelled like cigarette smoke. The walls are paper thin. I could hear the people in the next room talking…..just talking….it was that bad. I was suppose to stay two nights, but I left after one. I highly recommend not staying here if you are in the area!"

"This historic property is extremely well-maintained and very comfortable even for an extended stay. It is really the centerpiece of Anniston. Most of the staff were very helpful and pleasant after a bumpy check-in experience. Breakfast was generous if a little uneven. There are a few indications on Expedia that are not quite accurate anymore, but that doesn't take away from a generally very positive stay."
