"The guy who worked at reception was excellent. He was very friendly and helpful. We arrived late around 8pm. When we booked in there was no parking left to use. The guy at reception said no problem you can use my parking space around the back, he said there was room for us and guided us around. He then waited at the back door and let us in to save us walking around to the front of this large hotel. Excellent service from a great and friendly guy. The hotel itself is very tired and run down. Our room was clean so we were not that bothered by it. It was very cheap for the night so bear that in mind you get what you pay for. If you’re easy going like us you wont care. We enjoyed our stay which was made better by the efforts of the friendly guy at reception."

"Lovely staff The best sea view I have ever seen! Quiet and elegant Lovely breakfast - although additional cost for cooked for breakfast each day. Booking slightly misleading as says ‘free breakfast’ but it is only the buffet selection included which is cheese and pastries fruit etc nice selection if not after cooked breakfast specifically. Spa facilities top notch and lovely, a little dated in design. The building looked a little run down and the atmosphere was flat (maybe the season as wasn’t very lively) no music on in the bar or lounge etc just silence. I would stay again as I felt safe and private and the housekeeping was fantastic and the staff went above and beyond everytime. "

"I spent 3 nights for work, the location is amazing, the hotel is old but in a good condition and clean The staff were terrible, the lady who did the check in was not bad, but others were not friendly at all when I go in or out saying hi they either do not answer back or just a cold hi in return The lady who did the check out was very bad ,I came and said : good morning I want to check out,, she didn’t look at my face, didn’t say good morning, jut : room number? Said:103 , she( didn’t look at me at all): ok , I was expecting: thank you, I hope you had a good time with us !!!! but no, nothing at al."

"Good staff , food good , but no hot water in the sink or bath to wash in the morning it was stone cold. I told the manager who was very apologetic and said he would get it looked at."

"Staff in the restaurant/spa bar/spa were really helpful and pleasant. The indoor pool was great. Sadly we didn't get to use the outdoor pool as it rained but it did look very nice. View from our room was lovely too. We booked breakfast on one day but found it too much after dinner the previous night. We ate at taste of Cornwall one night. The food was very good but the room was very dark and the music stopped a couple of times and nobody around to turn it back on, so lacked a nice ambience."
