Wonderful Carmel boutique Hotel

Wonderful tonight weekend stay celebrating a birthday. The hotel is beautiful with a warm and cozy entrance lobby and bar area. Service was impeccable from getting our luggage to offering us a welcome drink to the morning breakfast which was included. We walked approximately 20 to 25 minutes to/from downtown Carmel both nights for dinner.

We had a wonderful stay. The property is gorgeous, room extremely comfortable, and is a convenient location in Carmel, close to the water and only a few minute drive into town. The staff is so helpful and kind. We’d highly recommend this to anyone visiting this area!

If there were ten stars I would happily give them to Villa Mara! It’s a charming, small, beautifully run property. One block from the quiet end of Carmel’s iconic beach, it was the perfect location to spend our 24th anniversary. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Despite having been to Carmel many, many times, our stay here felt like coming home. We’ll definitely be back.

What a find! Beautifully done up, new property. Jay makes great margaritas! You’re a stone’s throw from a great beach spot for sunset watching, and you can cuddle by the fire pit after. We loved staying here. It’s luxe but understated.

Hotel has only been open for a couple of months. Condition of the grounds, common area and rooms was excellent. Service was very friendly. Away from the tourist center of town. No complaints.

Nice to be greeted with a free beverage of choice. Room was large and nice interior design with elegant fixtures, down to unique light switches. Breakfast was awesome with excellent selections. Bed was too soft and caused back discomfort making not restful sleep.
