The accessible room was under construction so they gave us the next best thing. The sink/counter in BR was really low (& I'm short). The pool is not heated and the hot tub was not turned on. The inn ia dated and the room is musty smelling. Staff was responsive. Complimentary pastries in the AM is delicious! Overall, it wasn’t bad for its price in this area.

Carmel Valley is beautiful. Our stay made the discovery easy and comfortable. The staff at contenta inn went out of their way to help.

It suited our purposes. It was very reasonable, and the bed was comfortable. It was a warm day, and the remote required to work the air conditioner was a problem requiring staff assistance. Dining and wine tasting were within walking distance.

Really quiet area in a valley surrounded by mountains , nice little hot tub, clean linens and bathroom. Very comfortable bed and if you’re planning on just having a place to sleep this is a great place for the price.

Great location - Big rooms!
This location is really quiet and off the main road. The rooms are large and each has a private fenced in patio to the grass court yard and pool. Staff was polite and helpful. No complaints at all, we will be back!

No generators nor emergency lights
Our reservation was for one night only. Unfortunately there was power outage in the area and the property didn’t have a generator or a back up power system in place. There were no emergency lights so we only had our cellphone flashlight to keep us out of the dark. It was totally unacceptable. This property should be managed better in cases like this.

The power outage was to the whole area and out of our control. We were happy that we were able to relocate you to our sister hotel in Carmel that evening. When our team spoke to you, you were appreciative and thankful. Again we can't control power outages which do happen time to time.

Loved this quaint and quiet spot for our weekend stay. The private patio adjacent to the pool was very nice. The room was adorably furnished with mid mod furniture. Plus the pastries and coffee provided for breakfast were so good, especially the chocolate croissant!

This property was terrible and did not match the pictures on the website. The bathroom had very old flooring and the toilet was broken. The bed was close to being broken and the furniture looked like it was acquired at a garage sale. The pool was very small, many tiles were chipped and was not heated. They were not able to check us in on time and we had to wait 2 hours (90 degrees that day) as they didn’t have enough staff. The front desk receptionist had communication issues and couldn’t answer anything beyond “yes” and “no” responses. We were very disappointed so decided to leave a day early. I would NOT recommend staying here. There were other options in the area I wish we would have booked instead. The pictures do not reflect the condition of the actual property.

We are sorry our hotel did not meet with your expectations. We take your comments very seriously and have investigated and reviewed them with our team. Not everyone appreciates our décor or style however we want to point out all of the furniture and carpet has been replaced in the last year. The bed and toilet were found to be working and good shape. We have adjusted out staff schedule to avoid delays in checking in guests in the future. Thank you for your feedback.

The room was very clean with plenty of amenities. The sliding door to the patio and pool area was not locked when we entered and we ended up blocking it using hangars. If arriving late be sure to make arrangements to get your room key from the convenient lockbox next to the office.
