Was not able to turn on the hair dryer. And the soap dispenser in the shower only dispensed 2 squirts on the first day. None after that. For we elderly people, perhaps handrails for safety in the shower would be beneficial

Thank you very much for your review.As far as we can determine by the reservation number attached to your review, you stayed in room #2.We checked the hairdryer in the room as well as all the other rooms first thing this morning and it/they worked perfectly, so I don’t understand what the problem might have been. Due to not always being able to get the refills for the dispensers, all rooms have individual toiletries consisting of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash & soap bar; naturally scented with white tea, honey & chamomile for an invigorating & refreshing scent!We will take handrails under advisement.

I didnt opt to come here, expedia called me because my Big Sure reservation had been cancelled do to road being closed. Was told this was the last room available and yet when we got there, there wad nevef not even one other car or guest there

Last minute reservation when I couldn’t get in much more expensive places. But it was clean, right in the village and the service was better than any hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

This quaint little inn was just what I was looking for in Carmel Valley. It was cute, clean and was close to all the places that I visited during my stay. The price was reasonable mostly because of the lack of amenities that you would find in the more expensive hotels and resorts in the area. But if you are okay with the boutique hotel concept and do not need a restaurant on site, room service, a wine bar or valet parking, it is a nice, quiet place to stay!

Property owners are friendly. TV did not work whatsoever. No one in office to help. Grounds are run down and unkempt. Room has no central air and was uncomfortably hot. This is a flea-bag motel, but located in an ideal spot in Carmel Valley.

Hello from Texas. We had the opportunity to visit Carmel Valley on July 26, 2023, and we noticed the Little European Lodge downtown. It was within walking distance to everything we were interested in seeing. The owners of the property are very kind and generous, and made us feel very welcomed. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! The room was perfect for us. We felt very safe in this community. So much so, we slept with the door to the room open to allow the cool air to enter. We just locked the screen door. Plus, the lodge has plenty of security cameras. We loved our stay. Thanks Again! - Greg and Adela
