But the walk back up from the lake was hard on us. My husband has copd and i had hip surgery not long ago. Just wish there was a better way up and down. But we give it all in all. A 99 out of 100. "The staff was excellent! So friendly and courteous. It was all just wonderful except the carpet in the room was really dirty. It had been vacuumed and the room was VERY clean. But our socks were black from walking on the carpet. Probably time to replace with hard flooring that can be mopped. "

"We had a wonderful time exploring the property and hearing the history. The staff went above an beyond before even asking. The food was excellent. The spa was relaxing. The best part was that we had something to do at the hotel at all times. While waiting for our next adventure, we were not just stuck waiting in our room. we visited with other guests, played games and relaxed in the many comfort areas in and around the hotel. A true resort. "

"Having stayed in the Basin Park on other occasions, we thought we knew what to expect. The day before our scheduled stay, the hotel offered us a free upgrade. We were upgraded to a balcony suite! Very nice and large room in a private part of the hotel. The balcony overlooking the park was private and large enough for a table and 4 chairs. The room had a jetted tub and a sitting area. "
