I had a great stay at GHL Arsenal Hotel. The staff was absolutely wonderful—very friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. They made sure my needs were met and were very responsive whenever I needed assistance. The housekeeping staff deserves a special mention—they were amazing! They were always kind, helpful, and did an excellent job. Wish I remembered names to give them a shout out! The location was one of the best parts of this hotel. It was perfectly situated between the Walled City, Getsemaní, and the center of town, making it easy to walk to many of Cartagena’s main attractions. For Bocagrande, I would recommend taking a taxi/uber; I used Uber. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed, including a safe. I never figured out how to use the TV, but I also didn’t ask for assistance because I knew I would barely be in the room. The breakfast was okay, but I personally would not pay extra for it again. The selection was decent, but it was not what I was expecting. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend it to others, especially travelers who plan to spend their days exploring Cartagena. This is not a resort-style hotel, but it is an excellent choice if you want a comfortable place with a fantastic location, great service, and easy access to everything the city has to offer.

only thing is the pool was under construction, but they have a sister hotel down the street with an amazing pool that you were able to use actually have two locations of other pools. The staff was more than helpful in the Hot menu for breakfast is amazing. Try the Mexican eggs many people think it is only the buffet but the hot breakfast is also fully included.

Ondanks dat het hotel een opknapbeurt kan gebruiken, compenseert al het personeel dat met oprechte uitmuntende vriendelijkheid. Vanaf het moment van inchecken, bij het ontbijt, elk moment van begroeten en uitchecken. Iedereen is even vriendelijk en oprecht, bijna jammer dat dit opvalt toch? Het zwembad is een maand in onderhoud, maar vooraf kreeg ik al een bericht en bij het inchecken werden er zelf al alternatieven aangeboden met excuses. Zeer goed aangepakt. Het ontbijt is net zo lekker als ons laatste bezoek 2 jaar geleden, echt uitgebreid, vers en lekker. Groot deel via buffet, plus lekkere extra opties a la carte. Van buiten verwacht je het niet, maar dit is een heel fijn hotel, absoluut door de service en het personeel.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, the breakfast was good, my room was clean, the pool I loved it, it had a nice view along with the bar was good as well, and the complimentary drink was good. The staff was friendly and the location was great. I was able to walk to the restaurants and the meeting points for my excursions. The clock tower is right around the corner, so it is walkable. Overall I give this stay a 10/10
