Terrible hotel, worse owner.

Avoid this hotel! The owner gave our reservation to someone else and told us we had to go to a different hotel across town that was well outside of the old city.

no respetan reservaciones

La peor experiencia, NO respetaron mi reservacion y me dejaron en la calle a la mitad de la noche, obviamente me sugirieron ir a otro hotel de los mismos dueños, que esta fuera de la ciudad, pequeño, sin aire que funcione... una pesadilla; obviamente cobraron como si fuera el hotel del centro. Una estafa total.

Good location but left a lot to be desired

We arrived at 5pm and were left standing outside on the street, pressing the buzzer for over 30 minutes. When they finally greeted us they had no record of our booking. They managed to give us a room. The room was clean enough however the a/c leaked a lot of water and was positioned directly over a power point. Bathroom door did not close (awkward when sharing a room with a friend). Wifi did not work at all even when sitting in reception next to the router. Breakfast was simple but nice, fresh fruit and eggs made to order. Be aware that there are two extra taxes not included in the advertised room rate, a tourism tax of 2500 pesos per person per night plus a 'hotel insurance' fee of 4500 pesos per person per night (this is not the VAT 16%). Also after going out one night we noticed that two pairs of shoes were missing. Very odd given that our valuables were not taken, we have tried to contact the hotel since but their phone number does not work and no email address can be provided. Overall I'm surprised that this place is still in buisness when there are much nicer 'boutique' hotels in Cartagena.

Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes kleines Hotel in der historischen Altstadt um die Ecke eines kleinen belebten Platzes mit vielen Restaurantes wo Haendler und Einheimische sich treffen und ihr im kleinen Getraenkeladen gekauftes Bier trinken.Schöne ruhige Zimmer. KLEINER POOL ZUM ERFRISCHEN.Leider wurde in 5 Tagen nicht die Waesche gewechselt.Die Hauslady ist sehr strikt...Fruestueck kolumbianisch wenig.Personal sehr hilfsbereit.

Muy mal porque sobre vendieron las habitaciones por error humano. Tal como lo expresaron y ofrecieron otra propiedad pero que no tenía características similares.

Mala estadía

La verdad deja mucho que desear....solicitamos que se nos brinde información sobre un traslado y no llamaron, nos dijeron que vayamos a la oficina... El baño no tenia ventana, era un hueco en la pared. El wifi no funciono nunca y tampoco se preocuparon por solucionar el problema.

Cheap and cheerful.

Great location. Friendly welcome. None of the staff speak English, but obligingly use google translations. My room was next to the road, but was quiet at night. A slighter later check-out was requested but denied. Basic breakfast. It absolutely is what it is!

Great service, beautiful house, fantastic vacation

We spent a week here, our first visit to Cartagena and really loved it! The staff at Reconquista were fantastic and the hotel is beautiful! We loved the two separate roof top patios, using each of them at different times. I actually really enjoyed the hot-tub on the roof; the first couple of days the water was cool, which made it a great soaking tub on hot days, but then later in the week the water was heated, and I was surprised how nice the hot water felt! I figured I'd want to soak in cool water, but the heat was soothing, almost like a massage. Breakfast is very simple but good, and the staff is super quick, starting it up and bringing it out in courses after the second you come down to the dining area (there is no stated time for breakfast; just go down when you're ready). Also, there are only three guest rooms, so you definitely get individual attention and truly feel more like a guest than a customer. We will plan to stay here next time we visit because the location is great, just off of the San Diego plaza. It was a fantastic deal and really went a long way towards making our trip completely relaxing.

Great Place

We liked this place so much, we decided to stay a second night. The beds are comfortable, but the noise from the street on the ground floor is a bit noisy. The second night we stayed here, we slept on the second floor, which was less noisy.

En general buen hotel

En general es un buen hotel. Esta muy bien ubicado para pasear por la ciudad amurallada. La habitación que nos hospedamos necesita un poco de pintura en sus paredes. Creo que por el precio deberían cambiar las toallas todos los días o cada dos días, cosa que no sucedió durante nuestra estadía (4 noches). El cambio se realizó por solicitud nuestra. Había leído comentarios sobre el desayuno, pero creo que es adecuado y de buen sabor. Muy amable la gente de la recepción. Si bien la señora que sirve el desayuno es educada, creo que le falta un entrenamiento en atención a clientes.En general un sitio recomendable para alojarse si buscas algo sencillo en la ciudad amurallada

Hotel pequeño y acogedor. El servicio y la limpieza es excelente, al igual que la calidad del servicio. Está muy bien ubicado, a pocos pasos de las bóvedas de artesanías y a una cuadra del reconocido hotel Santa Clara.

Excelente Estadía

El hotel es pequeño, cuenta tan solo con tres habitaciones. El servicio y atención es excelente, al igual que la limpieza y confort de la habitación que nos asignaron. Está muy bien ubicado, a tan solo unos pasos de las bóvedas dónde venden artesanías.

Solid choice for this price range in the Old Town

This is a very nice boutique hotel for its price range. The neighbourhood is ideal, the hotel is in the heart of the old town. The common spaces are tidy and have personality - large artwork on the walls, a small but inviting pool in the courtyard, nice breakfast space. The room was fine, air conditioned, with a lot of storage space and large shower with good water pressure and steady flow of hot water (not always available at hotels in this price range in Cartagena). There was a rooftop space and a patio on the second floor, they were basic but we made use of both during our brief stay. The staff were smiley and helpful. My only complaints would have to do with expectations - from the listing on hotels.com I was under the impression that there was a jacuzzi and that we would had booked a room with a king size bed. Our bed was a tiny double and there was a jacuzzi - but the water looked like it hadn't been changed in about two years and it was not hot. Under normal circumstances this wouldn't be a problem, but I chose this hotel over others in part because of these features, and was therefore disappointed when they proved to not be true. Nevertheless I would say this is a solid choice for this price range in this area. Other comparably priced hotels nearby look like they may have been slightly better appointed, but without a pool. Considering how hot it gets in Cartagena, having even a small pool for a quick dip is really helpful.

Great Location good price.

It's just close enough to have Cartagena's most popular streets within a two minute walk, and quiet enough to feel respite from a day of walking. Nice staff, quaint and pleasing decoration, and a clean and ample room make for a very nice hotel experience.

Problemas de Logística

No puedo dar una opinión puntual de este hotel porque cuando llegamos nos dijeron que habían tenido un problema con la habitación y nos trasladaron a otro hotel llamada Zaguán de la Huerta el cual estuvo bastante cómodo y con buen servicio.

Estadia en Hotel Boutique Reconquista

El Hotel Boutique Reconquista se encuentra ubicado en un zona magnifica; Es pequeño pero en general la experiencia fue satisfactoria; Como la idea es que mejoren con estos comentarios, la habitacion no tenia secador de pelo como aparece en la informacion, no ponen shampoo y pocas toallas. La gente muy amable y dispuesta a colaborar.

considero que la habitación en el techo tenía un hueco que comunicaba con el jacuzzi arriba , un poco caluroso el baño, la habitación bien, no hay ascensor , la piscina es diminuta, debería ampliarla no es piscina, yo me cambie de hotel y no lo utilice , no me devolvieron una noche
