"Really nice property in the heart of Getsemani. The staff there are amazing and always eager to provide assistance. The rooms and pool area are always clean. Breakfast was great. It can get a little noisy in the evening from from the open-air bars and stuff out in the street so if you're a light sleeper or early-bird, you may want to reconsider. For us, it was all part of the Cartagena experience and we lost zero sleep. "

"I had been to Cartagena two months before, so I knew how hot it was and I only searched Hotels.com for hotels with pools. I arrived for an eight night stay - and no pool. After two hours on the phone with customer service and the hotel's non-English speaking concierge, I finally gave up. Otherwise, the hotel is lovely for the price if a bit stingy with coffee at breakfast (when I asked for a third cup, I was told there was no more). It is not the hotel's fault that the house across the street...

"1. poor reservation system forcing me to move; inflexible staff 2. inadequate room assignment policy. I wanted a room upstairs, but there was apparently no availability. Early next moring I saw two open unused rooms 3. poor bathroom: shower works hardly 4. low cost facility with low standards. This could be made very nice with some investment 5. Second night at Casa Quero. Just a bit more expensive, but miles nicer "
