"room was clean. We especially appreciate the generous size bathroom and the coffee maker and water kettle in the room. We asked for an internal room to avoid the construction noise. Despite our window staring right at the internal covered courtyard, our room was quiet and we slept really well. Staff was courteous and helpful. The best part is the location, being right across the street from Atocha station near Parque del Retiro and Paseo del Prado. We could get to the station/bus terminal using the underground walkway thru the metro entrance within 5 mins.
We tried the breakfast buffet one day and felt that it was fine, though I was not sure about the praises in other reviews. The coffee is from nescafe machines, while you have to wait in line to order your eggs. I do think that the bread is really good. The breakfast room is stylish and wrap-around balcony let you have a great view of area. Overall we have a perfect stay and would highly recommend it."
