Nice clean and busy town
Restaurants can be busy at weekends so consider booking. Ospreys at Threave Castle must see. Red kite viewing at Bellymack Farm also essential. Loch Arthur farm shop and cafe great for lunch or coffee break.
It's now got some very good eating places - Nikos, Cafe at Designs, and the excellent Mr Pook's Kitchen
