"I have stayed at this hotel a few times and it was always good enough to come back. This time, it was particularly great! Since it was family weekend at JMU, all of the hotels charge way too much, and this was no exception. However, the service provided... from the very welcome greeting from the representative at the front desk, a very nice gift basket in our room which included spirit stuff for the game as well as snacks, and free water bottles, to the rest of the staff (cleaning and other front desk reps), it was great. The lobby was sparkling clean the whole time, even on a very busy weekend. I'm definitely not saying it was worth the unreasonably high prices the area hotels charge during family weekend, but I know that is not necessarily their fault and it was nice that they tried to make up for some of that by showing their appreciation with these small gestures."
