Red Roof Inn Birmingham South
6/10 Okay
"Ac wasn't hooked up and they lack towel stock to supply the rooms. The room was clean and acceptable."

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Birmingham Homewood
6/10 Okay
"They never cleaned our room but once during a five night stay, not even emptying trash cans or replacing towels or sheets and never vacuumed but one time. It also was very noisy!"

Homewood Suites by Hilton Birmingham Downtown Near UAB

"My suite was nice and clean. Very spacious. The AC unit in the bedroom was very loud. You could feel the vibration of the unit. I was up and down all night turning off and on. I would get hot and have to turn it on. The noise/vibration would keep me awake so I had to get up and turn it back off. Middle of night so I did not call maintenance since most likely no one would be available. I did not want to pack my stuff up and move to another room. Had I been staying more than one night, I most definitely would have contacted front desk. So I cannot give a review on that. The only other issue was lighting. They are very dim. I had to stand under the overhead light in bathroom with my compact mirror to put on makeup. Flashlights would have been better than the dim lighting in the bathroom and the overhead light was in front of the commode. The sofa was not an option to move to instead of the bedroom as it was only comfortable enough for sitting short periods of time. Breakfast was typical hotel free breakfast. Tables were wobbly. Area was clean. Elevator not working so had to carry luggage up 4 flights to second floor. They could do a lot better for a Hilton."

"Breakfast staff very nice."

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Birmingham Hoover
8/10 Good
"It’s a nice hotel for the price. Walls are kind of thin to where you literally hear any and everything. I stayed about six nights. It’s on the less expensive side but it was clean and the staff was great."

Ramada by Wyndham Birmingham Airport
2/10 Terrible
"I was shocked when I entered the room and found extensive water damage and mold covering a large section of the ceiling near the entrance. The ceiling showed significant discoloration, staining, peeling, and dark spots consistent with prolonged moisture exposure. The damage was so severe that I did not feel safe staying in the room. Beyond being unsightly, these conditions raise legitimate concerns about air quality, health risks, and overall building maintenance. No guest should be expected to stay in a room with visible water damage and potential mold contamination overhead. The room should have been removed from inventory and repaired before being assigned to any guest. This reflects a serious lack of quality control and concern for customer safety. After a long day of traveling I expected to walk into a clean, safe, and habitable room, and this room failed to meet even basic standards. I would strongly encourage management to ensure rooms are thoroughly inspected before being rented to guests. Yesh your service was great but that hotel is a no-go!!!!"

The Kelly Birmingham, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

"The Valet was extremely nice and so were the front desk staff. The rooms are very dated for this price point. There is no mini fridge, microwave and no ice machines on the floors. The bartenders were nice, but the breakfast was expensive and lackluster compared to what’s offered at other hotels. The dining area was empty and I think the teenagers who checked us in also made our food. Staff 5/5 location 5/5 amenities 1/5"

"when I first checked in the microwave & fridge wasn’t clean so I had to clean it up. The room wasn’t bad at. Breakfast was from 6-8:30 which I thought ended early. Everything was going good up until i checked out on 6/1 which was my bday. I woke up & got breakfast. After that I took a nap & got up at 9 am. Checkout is not until 11 am. A younger guy knocked on my door I’m guessing to start cleaning but I told him I wasn’t done with the room yet and he said ok. So around 10 something I started taking my stuff down to my car. I came back and the younger guy was at the other end of the hall in another room. Okay cool. I made another trip downstairs to carry more of my belongings but I left my purse which had my MacBook in it and my leftover bbq I had from the day before left in the room because I was going to get that last. I came back to my room open. The younger guy was in the room across from mine but another guy was in my room going through my stuff. He was on my MacBook. I asked him what he was doing& he said he thought it was trash. How could you think a purse and computer was trash. So he said checkout is at 11 and I said I know it’s only 10:47 so I still had time. So I said lemme make sure I still have everything in my purse because I don’t trust him. I threw my food away because he went through that and I wasn’t about to eat that. When I left out he asked was I missing anything. I told the lady at the front & ig this not his 1st time. DONT stay here b/c Idk if he’s fired"
