"We enjoyed out short stay at the Freehand in Chicago. We were originally placed in a room on the 17th floor. However, the air conditioning wasn't working so they quickly moved us to another quad room on the 4th floor. The space worked great for my family of 4 adults. We also enjoyed talking with Selma at the bar while watching World Cup games."

"The hotel is nicely situated on the Chicago river. The property was very well maintained and we had no complaints during our stay. They even provided a box fan on request (need the "white noise" to sleep.) Will definitely stay there again on our next visit."

"I’m giving this place one star only because the location is excellent. Otherwise, I would not recommend staying here. First, our room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Second, the water pressure in the bathroom was terrible—the water was barely coming out, almost drop by drop. "Located in a great spot. You can eat in or near by plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff very accommodating. Room very clean and comfortable. Cleaning staff was great and accommodating as well. First time there already recommend to friends and colleagues."
