"This was just a one-night stay for us, but it was very nice. The property was well-kept, and the room was clean and fresh. The staff was very warm, welcoming, and helpful. We were up early and left, so we did not take advantage of the offered breakfast, but it smelled delicious."

"The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!"

"When we arrived late afternoon there was a note attached to the front door directing us to our room and that they were busy with another client, but did supply a number to call. Our room door was wide open with the keys laying on a table. We did try to call to ask about the wifi and breakfast. We received a text, 3 hours later, with the wifi info and that we were not getting breakfast or coffee as it was not included. I understand about breakfast, but no coffee? There was no TV's anywhere and...

"The staff was helpful and the property was well maintained and cleaned. Sound travels through the walls easily so be prepared to wear ear plugs when you go to sleep. There’s also quite a few rules such as no eating or drinking in your room. Be prepared for the rules of the property. Overall, a great place."
