"Host met us upon arrival and showed us the property. Property was spacious, well equipped and appointed for our party of five. The view from the deck is sensational and the surrounding countryside extremely peaceful. Great place to chill out for a few days and would recommend to anyone that enjoys a farmstay. "In the old block our assigned room had fairly flat worn carpet. That would have been fine if it was clean, but the carpets were dirty. The skirting boards were full of dust. There was hair on the bedsheets, and the bathroom was full of hair and pubic hair. As if the cleaning staff has used a very hairy brush/mop and just moved it from one room to another. Reception was very apologetic and changed us to another room which although the carpets were dirty, it was hairless and went with it. We asked for compensation and I was supposed to receive the cost of 1 night. This is apparently submitted to the finance department and claimed against the cleaning company. It has been 8 weeks and I still haven't received it. And my requests for updates have been ignored. The staff know how incompetent the cleaning company is, so it is not a surprise when this happens. Also each room had something missing: e.g. towel, soap, toilet paper, so you'll be heading to reception a lot. I'm sure this post will be deleted to maintain a good score."
