"We had an awesome stay at this hotel. The cleaning staff were very attentive, and provided a wonderful service. Breakfast was great every day and the wait staff in the restaurant in the evening were fantastic. The two guys that ran the pool bar were awesome as well. Massages were great and we used the sauna and indoor thermal pool as well. We were sad to leave when we did but most certainly will be back. Ciao ciao."

"I would give this place negative 5 if I could. Air conditioning is absolutely terrible and most people slept with windows and doors open. Worst air conditioning I’ve experienced and we tried two rooms and most guests experienced same thing. Also rooms are right next to busy road so all you hear all night are vehicles going bye. Window of room to road is no more than 10 yards away. Crazy! Staff, food, pool, and view were fantastic! Go when it’s not warm!"

"Baffled by the good reviews. This place runs on rules upon rules upon regulations, and the photos are doing heroic work—instead of an idyllic hillside retreat, you get a tired, austere little fiefdom that makes a Holiday Inn look like the Ritz. Worst hotel of my two-week Italy trip (my partner agreed, enthusiastically). In fairness, the view is lovely and the area is peaceful—the hotel just works tirelessly to undo that from the inside. We arrived after 8 hours of travel to find the restaurant...

"The pool opens too late and closes too early"

"Clean room, helpful staff but very limited range of food in breakfast and dinner plus the main meals were tasteless. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and we had to spend 40 euros everyday on taxi to go to and from train station - not a good location plus the experience was of a very basic hotel even though we paid the price for a luxury hotel."

"Property was great and the staff was very helpful. We also enjoyed lovely breakfasts and dinners with an outstanding view from the restaurant. The hotel is not for people (nor is almost all the Amalfi coast), with difficulty walking. For instance there is no elevator to the pool. Nevertheless we had a wonderful stay at the Angiolieri."
