"Beautiful location. very nice hotel"

"Vintage looking rooms. It’s been a while since I had to handle an actual key to open a room :) AC was old and kinda working. We actually had a VCR in a room. Garden view was more of an interior shaft view - very little actual sunlight. Location is very central and rooms were clean, with recently renovated bathrooms. Hotel bar and cafes were open till late. Front desk offers a parking discount at a nearby garage, which was nice."

"The room was nice, clean and spacious. There were no explanations about how the phone or TV screen worked, and it was needed. The phone did not work right and was not fixed despite my reporting it. There was no paper provided to make any notes or anything else. There was a master electric switch but no explanation so I had to ask in order to get things to work which I thought did not work. They seemed surprised at my need to inquire about all these things. The restaurant was nice. The car charge in the garage would have been nice if they didn't charge four times the usual fee for charges, which was a disgusting thing to do."

"I usually will not write much in reviews, but I want to take the time and recognize one of your employees Luis. I did not get his last name, but his kindness rejuvenated my faith in human generosity. I took an overnight shopping getaway to Boston for my mom's birthday. My mom had a fall in the bathroom overnight and couldn't go downstairs for breakfast. After seeing me struggling to carry a bunch of plates and coffee/tea cups to the room, while ensuring my 9 year old daughter was not burning herself making waffles, Luis offered us a tray along with some topical mentol oitments to help my mom's sore hips after the fall... I did not ask, and he did not have to care. But he did. His kindness brought warmth to my heart in a day of true stress and worries.I do hope this get to the hotel managers and somehow he gets the recognition he deserves. "

"Lovely old hotel with lots of character. Location was excellent. Our room initially was on 5th floor at the front but we were moved to the 12th floor at the back the 3rd night as the noise on the streets from rubbish carts and road resurfacing was really bad. The windows were not sufficient to reduce the sound. Staff extremely helpful and obliging . Checking in was fast and speedy . Didn't try breakfast in hotel as was pricey...plenty of places to eat locally. We did have a drink in the bar a couple of nights. Nice variety. The Boston cream pie was first class😋 "
