"Beautiful historic property in need of some "cosmetic" touch-up."

"This property is very close to the highway and traffic noise was an issue for us. The curtains in the room had holes in them. Hallway carpeting clearly needed vacuuming."

"The property was undergoing renovations, so no 1st floor rooms and no elevator for my elderly parent. Safety latch was broken right off the wall, and they charged me twice. I had to wait 5 days to get reimbursed for 2nd charge"

"The double queen room is a little small but the room was clean. No clock in room. Staff is very helpful and breakfast was okay but very pricey. The on-site restaurant only had appetizers and salads the night we were there so we had to go elsewhere. Perfect place to stay for Lucy-Desi museum."

"I could not put clothes in the drawers, there was food crumbs in there. The shower curtain was moldy half way up. They would not correct it. The toilet was not screwed to the flood tightly. Listed as non smoking, it is not. Very Smokey and marijuana was smelly. Pool was green. I asked about the breakfast and was told that she didn’t know anyone was staying there. Not clean at all. Blow dryer did not work. I would NEVER go back!"

"There could be more outside trash cans Dogs staying there is fine. I had a dog with me but people let their dog crap and left it everywhere. Also smoking outside the doors and cigarette butts all over ground and trash thrown in ground. Disposable coffee or soda cups. I had doggy bags with me at all times because dogs crap. The smoking right outside doors is offensive Inside was clean. Actually I had a canister of disinfectant wipes. Glad I did. The toilet seat looked sketchy. I’m not...

"Stepping into a time capsule! This place DESPERATELY needs attention!!! Peeling paint, locks and windows don’t work, dust and dirt everywhere! There was even dog hair on my bedding when I arrived… I’m allergic to animal dander. Even the jacuzzi tub in the room had left residue on the tip of the bubbles when filled. Shower had hair in it still. The windowsill on the bay window was FULL OF DEAD BUGS! The dirt and dust on the outside of the banister made me question if housekeeping even cleaned...

"This was our first time at Lakeview and we were impressed all around. The property is beautifully located on the lake with fantastic views. The motel room was rustic and quaint, perfect for me and my 2 teenagers. The owners of the property were extremely helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend a stay here. The variety of places to stay on the property make it a good fit for anyone, and the playground, grills, picnic tables and pool make it great for families too."
