"The room was pretty cold on arrival, but soon worked out how to get the heating on.Staff were very helpful and managed to sort out my booking, that Expedia failed to notify the hotel, so they were not expecting me.The room was aa bit outdated,and not very soundproof, the 7 lane bypass was very noisy during the night,even with the window closed."

"Apart from my room which was warm and comfortable but lacked a bath towel, with only a shampoo and a very little round soap being provided, the whole place seemed sad and lonely. The Reception was poorly lit and signed, and was cold and damp; I appeared to be one of only two guests staying on the Saturday night and the guests in the room next to mine kept their television on until 5.15am and periodically seemed to drop something heavy on the floor. "The room was clean but the carpets was severely worn. Had all the amenities, TV, iron + board, kettle and coffee. Parking at the Leisure centre and walk across an arcade- not ideal on a cold day but the multi-storey parking place was well lit, safe and well maintained and very cheap for 24hrs. Not an expensive place (price) but the one thing I couldnt palate was the breakfast (I simply walked away after tasting-absolutely unable even if you try and assumed that breakfast was 'not included')."

"Moved from the bull to the shepherds rest as an upgrade prior to arrival. Out of 4 rooms (party of 4), rooms 10 and room 4 no heating. The bull may have better but I’d avoid the shepherds rest. Also none of the TVs worked in any of the 4 rooms and Wi-Fi password not shared. A shame as the rooms were fine even if the showers are a little small. Place was clean and obviously has been invested in. "

"Extremely comfortable bed and spacious room. Far too hot and unable to control the heat. No remote control for tv and had to ask 4 times for it when it finally arrived in time for leaving the tv didn’t work as the WiFi was too weak. Bit of a disaster affecting everything as I was travelling solo and relied on the tv for company "
