Gorgeous extremely old example of Cotswold architecture. Dining and bar were very good but still less that 5 star and but better than traditional English pub food which is rough.

Room comfy , food good , the pathway to the room from the hotel at night was very poorly lit and the steps around the property were quite challenging in the dark , I feel someone could get hurt for the sake of an outside light at the doorway .

Cotswolds Super Location

Our room was in a seperate annexe which was fine but was not aware of upon booking , The positive was a lovely large room and bathroom . The bathroom needed the grout and silicone replacing at low level due to mould staining . However this is very small problem the showed was huge and lovely hot water which is the important bit . The main hotel building was very comfortable and the restaurant food was to a very good standard . All the staff were very attentive and friendly. Would recommend it to anyone and would stay again . Great location within easy reach of the Cotswolds pretty must see villages such as Stow and Burford etc

Very rude lady at the reception upon check in, room was not clean, at night when we were sat outside - it was pitch dark not even one light was switched on. Very disappointing!
