"The Cottage and Castle is absolutely charming, beautifully decorated and situated in a lovely neighborhood of colourfully painted houses and As well it is anIt’s a real gem. However as we returned after an evening out the stench in the air from a soil, composting, wastewater and recycling treatment plant was overwhelming. I there is a solution to this as Chemainus is a charming town and the Cottage and Castle was exceptional! "

"There is a lot of long term guests in this hotel. Kind of old hotel but still kept clean and in good shape. "

We had two homeless people drinking outside our room at the table and chairs out front which we told the front desk when morning cam one was passed out on the table. Called to ask for the manager or manager and was told manager was away for the next couple day but would get him to call. After a few days we did not hear back and we called them was told the manager was not still not available, the...

"Clean, convient and quite at night. "

"I had a bit of an issue with the ac/heat unit. I called Alisha/Matt and they were able to assist me over the phone (a couple of times). I was grateful for their prompt response considering it was after hours. They were gracious and patient with me.."

"Oh boy...I greatly dislike writing negative reviews. While Chemainus is adorable, the location is fantastic and the exterior is a dream...this aint it. Mouldy drapes, a number of amenities were broken (electric fireplace, mouldy fridge), no wifi, questionably clean bedsheets. And (I have photos as proof) a white substance residue left on the counter next to the bed. I will say that the indoor jet tub was amazing! I swear I heard a cough below us at one point and noticed a little door that looked...
