The owners and staff were super helpful and accommodating. Our room was very quiet and clean. We appreciated them immediately replacing a coffee pot that wasn’t working. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
Fantastic family-owned mountain business. Incredibly friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds. You cannot go wrong with a stay at the Maggie Valley Cardinal Inn.
I’ve been staying at the Cardinal each year these last 5 or 6 years always because it is a small well run Inn with helpful hosts.
It is a serene place to be when the need is to relax after a days business or vacation affairs.
Friendly staff. Well maintained facilities. A little dated and showing signs of age, but not like we expected a luxury resort. Perfect mix of affordable, clean, quiet and friendly. Will definitely stay again.
Beautiful old retro motel but with the modern amenities that travelers have come to expect. Staying here was an exceptional trip into the past. It made me long for the good ole days. Absolutely loved this place!
The ladies working there were very sweet and helpful. Everywhere they recommended was on point. The room was very clean and comfortable. I'm going back for a longer stay!
Comfy beds, updated rooms—shower was large and relaxing- very clean. Loved having a fire pit and lawn chairs to use in the evening. The complementary coffee, hot cocoa and popcorn in the room were a wonderful addition. The convenience of parking directly outside your room was an added bonus.
Room was spotless. Haven't been here since i was a child in the 80"s and it brought back so many memories. The check- in was was a good surprise. It says 3 but they texted me at 1:30 and said our room was ready. Loved everything and will be back!!
This place is a gem and we will certainly stay there in the future. When we arrived the room was warm and there was a bucket of ice in the mini-fridge. This is not a large chain location. Many small touches from rolled towels to hand soaps, to a small rubber ducky on the bathroom towel set make this a comfortable place. I was able to park my my truck up right in front of the room door. I was unsure of our stay since the price point was excellent. I can see now that this establishment likely makes good money on tips. The only review deficiency I made was in comfort by one star due to the mattresses being softer than I like. That is a minimal thing that some would differ in opinion. The overall stay was excellent and superior to the $400/night resort down the street.
Charlotte and Paula are excellent hosts and they went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. I highly recommend this cute little boutique style motel.
