"A lovely hotel, slap bang in the middle of town, close to all pubs and restaurants and the Centenary theatre (20 minute walk) could do with a little touch up and repairs here and there. But excellent value for where it ’s positioned and the staff are exceedingly welcoming and friendly. Lovely stay would book again definitely! "

"The property really needs some maintenance to it.
Very dated all round.
Champneys used to hold a high standard name as a spa hotel but over the years it’s really lost its touch.
Was disappointed with the cleanliness of the spa facilities. Was in the spa for 2ish hours and not a single member of staff cleaning anything. Mainly the floors which were full of grit/hair/dirt.
Edging of pool areas have algae.
Really just needs a deep clean.
We didn’t stay for dinner however we had breakfast...

"The breakfast wasnt great but the staff were friendly. The air conditioning was working but i felt the room was a bit cold for my liking but the staff did turn on the heating but if just wasn't hot enough for me. However both the room & its surroundings were beautiful! "
