This is a great little hotel in a not-so-great location. It's far from downtown and the lagoon, on a gravel road with no street lights. The pueblo is very safe, but as a single woman, it just didn't FEEL very safe to walk back in the dark....

Unfortunately, I messed the booking up so we ended up in garden rooms rather than the lagoon rooms which meant we didnt get the experience we were hoping for. Staff very friendly and helpful, and great location plus free use of kayaks etc. Maybe not as much access to swings, hammocks, etc as we'd ...

Amainah Bacalar Hotel Boutique - Adults Only
The hotel was perfect. Very clean and well maintained. Service was excellent all around, the staff was very attentive and always ready to help with whatever we needed. Definitely will stay again when I go back to Bacalar!
