I really loved this hotel. First time staying there. Definitely had some problems but it’s okay. Not really any hot water and the closet light didn’t really work and no heat but like I said I managed. The staff was really nice and help me out with bags with an hurt hand I have. Very friendly and helpful

Very nice place to stay. Parking was off site but not hard to find a spot that wasn’t over priced. Very friendly staff in bar. Rooms were updated.

Stayed two nights everything was good, beds are a bit on the rougher side, parking was expensive, the restaurants inside had good food. Other than that would definitely stay again

This property as bad as I wanted to like it, it was an awful experience I do not recommend this hotel whatsoever!! Maybe this WAS a nice place to stay in the 60s but it doesn’t look like it’s been restored since then! Well at least the hallways!!

Our room was clean and pleasant, seemed to be relatively recently renovated. Convenient location with a lovely view over Grant Park. Surprisingly spacious closet. Polite staff and a good value room, no hidden fees or anything. The hotel as a whole is older but we had but no real complaints, it was perfect for our short stay.

No heat in the room, had to request a heater. Housekeeping staff knocked on my door at 9AM awaking me. I asked was checkout not at 12 Noon. Housekeeping staff stated "yes, i'll come back". I was unable to sleep comfortably for these reasons.

Great location on Michigan avenue. Very cool lobby. Rooms need renovation. Rusty shower. Door to connecting room would not lock so did not feel very secure. I had to put a chair under that door knob to secure my room.

The only thing I didn’t like was that when we got there we wait about 20 minutes for someone to help us check in and no matter where you parked you have to pay

Clean and loved the classic grandiose decor. Unfortunately our room was connected to the other rooms on either side of us, and there was a large gap between the doors and the floor, meaning we could see light and hear all the noise (TV, even hear when the person was showering) from their room while in our bed.

I did have some concerns based on other reviews - but I find this a very delightful hotel - the lobby is gorgeous and I love the sense of history. My room is large and comfortable. OK - the place is showing it’s age - but I really like that. Highly recommended.

The floor and corridor is not clean and dump smelling. Inside the room no air conditioning, broken fan. The toilet and bath were clean and good.
