COVID-19 may have changed the way we travel, but it hasn't halted our eagerness for exploring. Here are some tips on how to deal with travel's new challenges:

• Investigate if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking your flight. Also check if there are any requirements you'll need to follow on arrival, such as testing and quarantining.
• When you pass through airport checkpoints, keep your face mask on. You will be required to briefly lower it to verify your identity. Anyone refusing to wear a mask may be fined and denied boarding.
• Instead of handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, position it directly on the reader yourself. Then, hold it up for inspection.
• You are now permitted to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on bag. You'll have to remove it for X-ray scanning.
• Place any personal items (phone, keys and wallet) in your carry-on instead of a bin to minimize handling during the screening process.
• If you're planning to take food through security screening, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to handle your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.
