"The view from our room made the stay worth it all. The shower was perfect. The pool said closed but it wasn’t. They keep the cover on to keep it warm but it wasn’t warm. The free breakfast is so so. Not great but not bad. The property is pretty but could use some work. Just like the rooms. The bed was comfy enough. It could have been better but it could have been worse!! Staff was super kind! Natalie was very nice and friendly. "

"Peaceful place with clean, generously sized rooms and welcoming staff, and free parking. Conveniently located near Fort Bragg and Mendocino. We splurged on the king room with soaking tub and it was so relaxing! Loved the balcony facing the estuary. We triple checked the room - all apparently except for 1 drawer in which we left a few belongings. Staff called us right away to arrange mailing them to us the next day. We will be back!"

"I basically got what I paid for. Check-in was as basic and uneventful I arrived @ 9pm as Check-in started at 4pm parking was almost full. Regarding my room if you consider a cheap old microwave and sm refer a kitchen then I guess it had one, personally I wouldn't. Now to the bathroom, overall I would describe it with one word OUTDATED. Low pressure (sink & shower) awe yes the shower, 1st shower head came up to my nipples while attempting a shower prior to checking out water would be hot and then without warning it ran ice cold. I know that I wasn't staying @ The Palace but have to tell you about the bed, I can say it was a bed! Metal frame w/springs. Overall I can't complain I got what I paid for. Two final things to mention room was right over the lobby and this has to be my first hotel/motel that didn't even have a sewing needle & thread! If I were Wyndham I'd be ashamed to put my name on it. I understand this was a old, weathered hotel by the ocean but I guarantee if a little attention to details and higher quality materials. This review would be quite different. "
