"We booked a night at this hotel with a spa. The hotel contacted Expedia to explain the spa was under renovations and out of use. Expedia did not give me the message. The sole reason for booking this hotel was because of the spa. Expedia failed in passing on the information. The hotel upgraded us and did everything they could to make the stay very enjoyable but Expedia let me down and I would like a refund from Expedia"

"Swapped out sea view room, sadly, but hotel had an old world charm and the hottest swimming pool I've ever been in. That's not necessarily a good thing unless you're someone that doesn't want to swim and then you're fine. Staff were warm and welcoming, lots of flash cars on the driveway. Really liked the look of the rooms by the pool. Breakfast was a bit busy and staff a little frazzled but pleasant. The wallpaper in the bar was amazing. Wonderful location, the higher the floor the better - if you're put on the first floor (like us) and not given the room you're booked, then you're clearly not an A-lister... :-). Room was wonderful."

"We have stayed in the Crown several times so were happy to re visit whilst touring the New Forest in ideal location. Helpful, cheerful staff made us welcome . Nothing to much trouble We declined an evening meal in hotel as we were meeting friends in town but breakfast was excellent wide choice available. The down side of our stay is that the hotel really now seemed "tired" appearance. Window frames paint flaking off the decor in our room (203) was "dated' in need of a refurb. Mould in bathroom / shower, mirror corroded etc For a De luxe room maybe guest bathrobes would be a welcome addition All in all we enjoyed our stay & would probably visit again and submit this review as our personal observations only In a competitive hotel industry attention to detail for the future is paramount "

"I loved my stay at Leonardo! Cosy room, beautifully decorated spaces, and a lovely staff. The location was perfect for me- a short cab or a meandering walk from the rail line, right across the street from stunning parks. My only complaint would be a few missed spills and stains in the room, but the core items, bed, shower, toilet, were perfectly clean and maintained."

"Great value for money in the heart of the town. Beautifully decorated and well turned out room. Very comfortable bed and great shower. Breakfast was excellent with ample choices of either cooked or continental. Parking was easy across the road from the hotel in a dedicated parking area. Great to walk out and see the sights, minutes from the abbey and quayside. Lots of bars and restaurants close by. The hotel offers you discounts at other local establishments if you choose to eat there. Very much enjoyed the stay!"

"About the clean room some spiderwebs Not big deal, the rest all cleaned. About the Staff everyone 5 🌟 It's a fresh breakfast, but insufficient food for the price to pay. About the parking all good have plenty space. "
