"The location is ideal if you will be catching the train somewhere. For the price, around $350 per night, I would have expected maid service daily, and a bit updated decor. It appears that the hotel hasn't been updated in quite a few decades. The breakfast was very basic. Toast, bagels, cereal, powdered eggs, sausages, pancakes. Friday they had no butter, peanut butter or jellies for the toasted items."

"The rooms were clean. The only issue we had the AC did not work but they brought a portable AC unit in and that worked great. The hotel is a little dated but not a deterrent. There is a large homeless population just down the street. But that is every where you go in Anchorage in our adventures through the city."

"This did not feel like a safe building or area. Room was bare bones but not particularly clean, and the deadbolt had been removed from the interior of the door. Would not have felt safe without my husband also there, and even so we almost changed hotels last second."

"The Ski Inn would be a great place as a medium sized family gathering or just as a drop-in off the road & leave next morning or after a day of sking. The economy room is very tight, just enough space for 1 person to walk around the bed ( there were no other sized rooms available when I was booking for a place to drop for night to break up long drive in our travel.)The worse thing is the lock system- I am well educated and typically very good at figuring out how things work. "For $200/night (they Expedia - much higher otherwise), an actual lobby with at least coffee available would have been nice. I (now) understand it's an extended stay place, but even then they could have a few amenities."

"DO NOT STAY HERE.....BEWARE.. PLACE IS A HOSTEL....SHARED BATHROOMS? I booked on Expedia flying into Anchorage in a hurry (my fault) and did not see where it said shared bathrooms... I had no idea that was even possible.. The room was tiny! The beds were singles (Tiny). We chose not to stay and share a bathroom with strangers and booked elsewhere that had a full size bed and a private bathroom. The management would not refund $1.00 of the over $225 that I paid and did not use... THIS PLACE IS...
